Rates:
GCSE Maths £35.00 per hour
A level Economics / Business £40.00 per hour
( plus an additional £5.00 where travel is further than a 10 mile round trip from central Harrogate)
Bio:
In recent years I have been working very successfully as a tutor of both Maths, to GCSE level, and Economics and Business at A level.
I am a qualified Teacher of Economics and Maths having started my teaching career at a top Sixth Form College with A-level Economics and Business Studies as my areas of specialism. In more recent times I have worked in the Maths Department of a local ‘outstanding’ secondary school. My role was to provide specialist support for those requiring additional help with their Maths in Years 7 through to 13.
As well as this academic experience I have had a long career in the Financial Services and IT industries including senior management positions. This has given me great insight into how academic subjects can be successfully applied in the workplace. My approach to tutoring is to spend time fully understanding the exact nature of support needed, and then exploring practical methods for improving performance and results. Recognising that each student is unique, the key to success is to ensure that the individual understands and is fully confident in using the agreed approach.
