Bio:

I love Psychology and I love teaching it. Psychology has such varied content that it is easy for me to find a connection for the student, between themselves and the subject.

My favourite subject areas are Psychopathology, Social & Forensics. I also recognise that students find topic areas such as Biopsychology and Research Methods quite difficult so I have developed strategies to enable students to access these subjects as easily as they might Attachments or Gender.

I employ a variety of teaching methods which work in the classroom and online such as paircards, sorting exercises and video. I ensure worksheets and materials are sent to students prior to the lesson.

It’s important to me that all students reach their potential. I ensure we make use of articles and current publications for students to include in their written work to demonstrate a depth and breadth of understanding of the topic area.

Testimonials:

‘Not only is Sam an excellent teacher, but she is also kind and approachable. Sam has helped me reach my full potential. I have thoroughly enjoyed all my lessons with her and any future student would be very lucky to have her as their teacher.’
